Preston Richardson, R.A.
Mr. Richardson, founding principal of the firm, has over 37 years of experience as a practicing architect. He has been responsible for design, production and management of architectural services on a wide range of projects in the private and public sector. Projects completed include numerous college residence hall and academic building renovations and additions, work in housing, single family and multi-unit, commercial and industrial buildings, large-scale office building design and hotel and restaurant design work. His specialties include comprehensive understanding of project design and development issues, management of the design team including coordination of multi-disciplinary groups of project professionals, scheduling and cost analysis, construction contract procedures and analysis and implementation of the Massachusetts State Building Code and the regulations of the Architectural Access Board.
In addition to his architectural practice, Mr. Richardson has participated as an associate instructor at The Boston Architectural College and is a group leader in the practice curriculum program, as well as a frequent guest studio design and thesis critic.
